The first Icelandic violinist to be classically trained was Þórarinn Guðmundsson (1896−1979). After his studies in Denmark he returned to Iceland 1913, where he taught and performed the violin.
    Pieces from his repetoire and works by him will be per­formed, some of which on a violin he favored.

Composit­ions for flute, clarinet, cello and piano by the two giants of the Ital­ian music, Nina Rota and Ennio Morri­cone. These works offer vari­ous nu­anc­es for which the com­pos­ers are well known. Also prem­ier­ed "Melódía" by Stein­grím­ur Þó­rhalls­son, in­spir­ed by the works of these Italian com­posers.

Bass-baritone Kristján Jóhannesson and pianist Cole Knutson per­form Schwanen­gesang (Swan Song) by Franz Schubert.

    Swan Song D 957 is a collection of 14 songs by Franz Schubert, which he com­posed in 1828, shortly before his death, to poems by Lud­wig Rell­stab, Hein­rich Heine and J.G, Seidl.
    Kristján Jóhannes­son studi­ed here in Ice­land and at the Vienna Aca­demy of Music, and now sings at the Opera in St. Gallen in Switzer­land. Cole Knut­son is a Canad­ian pian­ist and saxo­phone player cur­rently furth­er­ing his stud­ies at the Lied­zentr­um Lied­aka­demie in Heidel­berg.

Known are more than 120 viol­ins in the area and num­er­ous people knew how to play them.
