Helgi
      Gíslason

Two decades ago Helgi Gíslason started executing his characteristical sculptures in bronze, mostly casted by himself, in which he expresses his perception of the human body in present time. He analyses the shape of the body as well as its relation to geometrical forms in nature. During Helgi Gíslason's study of the basal sculptural formal laws, open forms versus closed forms, positive space versus negative space, the artist aims at telling about the conditions of the human being in modern life.

Sculptures by Helgi Gíslason are owned by numerous public collections.
