Ólína and Steinunn
There Lay My Path
Steinunn María Þormar soprano and Ólína Ákadóttir piano
A new musical by the performers, woven entirely from the music of Jórunn Viðar. The story follows Hulda, a young woman finding her way along the path of love, as she learns to nurture connection−with others and with herself.
Jórunn Viðar’s music is wonderfully varied and full of character: some pieces are light and playful, others deeply emotional and profound. There Lay My Path offers a fresh and imaginative interpretation of her works, placing them in a new dramatic setting.
A part of Reykjavík Opera Days festival.
Tickets: 4,900 ISK / 2,000 ISK for students, children, and people with disabilities.
Tuesday October 7th at 8:00 pm
