Anniversary Concert Hlíf Sigurjónsdóttir violin Þórdís Gerður Jónsdóttir cello and Povl Christian Balslev piano. To celebrate 30 years since the opening of the Sigurjón Ólafsson Museum, the family of the late sculptor Sigurjón Ólafsson invites to a concert in his museum Sunday October 21st at 8 pm. The program consists of three works, all inspired by sculptures by Sigurjón Ólafsson. Mask by Jónas Tómasson (violin and cello). The premiere of A Girl for solo violin by Alexander Liebermann and Footballers (violin and piano) by Povl Christian Balslev. Program in Icelandic − Press release |
The concerts last for one hour, starting at 8:30 pm. The Museum Café is open after the concerts, where the audience can meet the artists.
